Fitbit Inspire HR is a Fitbit Band that comes with a lot of features ALL under 100$. You can’t expect Fitbit Inspire HR to come with a built-in GPS with such a price point, can you? However, Inspire HR comes with a connected GPS!

This version of the Fitbit band can track your heart rate, all stages of sleep, calories, and even steps very accurately. Fitbit Inspire HR is also very lightweight, making you feel like you’re wearing nothing at all!

With an excellent Female health tracker, Inspire HR hugely benefits female users. Inspire HR also helps you to exercise with 19 different sports modes.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about Fitbit Inspire HR, is that Inspire HR is a good fitness band that comes at such low pricing (considering the price of other Fitbit bands).

Below, you will get to know different alternatives to the Fitbit Inspire HR bands.

If you even find Fitbit Inspire HR expensive, you will hear good news now. The good news is that Xiaomi Mi Band 4 has similar features to Fitbit Inspire HR at even insane LOWER pricing!

In addition, Xiaomi Mi Band 4 has a colored AMOLED touch-screen with higher resolution (so, easily visible under sunlight). Mi Band 4 monitors your heart rate and tracks sleep pretty well.

Mi Band 4 can give you your sleep stats through the connected App called Mi Fit. Mit Fit even offers you to sync with Google Fit! Your daily data is displayed in the Mi Fit app very simply. However, the detailed stats offered by Fitbit App is absent in Mi Fit App.

Also, Mi Band 4 offers 6 dedicated workout modes! So that you can choose the modes to stay fit. The six modes are Treadmill, exercise, outdoor running, cycling, walking, pool swimming, Count steps, distance, and calories burned.

Perhaps the most shocking feature in Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is the connected GPS feature all under 40$! Not only that. Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is waterproof up to 50 meters too.

Similar to Fitbit Inspire HR, Xiaomi Mi Band 4 displays text and call notifications.

Can you believe that Xiaomi Mi Band 4 has a battery life of around 20 days? Yes, me neither. The battery lasts for 20 days in Mi Band 4.

I am baffled at how Xiaomi Mi Band 4 came up with ALL these features at low pricing. To sum up, Xiaomi Mi Band 4 tops my list of alternatives to Fitbit Bands.

Pros

  • Affordable low pricing
  • Connected GPS
  • Tracks sleep, heart rate, fitness activities accurately
  • The long battery life of 20 days in power-saving mode. And a 14-day battery life in normal mode.
  • Water-proof
  • Customization options
  • Smartwatch features

Cons

  • With high-intensity workouts, heart rate monitoring will become inaccurate
  • Pretty basic features
  • Compared to the 19 different workout modes that Fitbit Inspire HR offers, Xiaomi Mi Band 4 falls short with only 6 modes.

Withings Pulse HR has a sleek OLED display similar to Fitbit.

You will be provided with a screen made with plastic on top and 316L stainless steel on the underside. The polycarbonate top can make it susceptible to scratching and damage though. So, if you are clumsy, please be careful. The band strap is silicone and has a large bulky buckle that will make you stand out from the crowd.

Withings Pulse has “Pulse” in the name which suggests monitoring of Heart rate. Subsequently, Pulse HR can assess your health through heart monitoring.

Furthermore, Pulse HR comes with a connected GPS. Therefore, you can track your workouts using your phone’s GPS. Swimming is also tracked by Pulse HR GPS.

However, your heart rate monitoring might get a bit finicky. The downside is also that tracking isn’t as good as Inspire HR.

Perhaps the most awesome feature of Pulse HR is its 20-day battery life!

And the 30 different activities that your Pulse HR can track. The activities include:

  • Walking
  • Running
  • Hiking
  • Cycling
  • Swimming
  • Surfing
  • Kitesurfing
  • Windsurfing
  • Tennis
  • Ping Pong
  • Squash

Pulse HR can automatically track your activities like walking, running, swimming, and even sleep. Table Tennis, Squash, Badminton, Weights, Basketball, Soccer, and Boxing are also automatically detected. If you are a sports fanatic, Withings Pulse HR is for you.

Pulse HR also displays notifications like a Fitbit Inspire HR.

To sum up, Pulse HR can be one of your alternatives to the Fitbit Inspire HR band with such a wide range of sports tracking.

Pros

  • A Connected GPS
  • The long Battery life of 20 days
  • A Wide Range of sports tracking

Cons

  • Expensive for such features.
  • The accuracy might sometimes falter in Withings Pulse HR

Fitbit Charge 4 is the latest charge band of Fitbit. A good thing about this version of Fitbit is that this contains a built-in GPS even with a similar price point to Fitbit charge 3 (Charge 3 contains a connected GPS). Therefore, you can easily track your distance of exercise outdoors fairly without your phone.

You will get an OLED display tracker with Charge 4. And you will also get strap colors like black and rosewood. Charge 4 also has a black reflective band that will reflect if you exercise (walk, cycling) in dark.

In addition, Fitbit Charge 4 also detects your oxygen saturation levels. You can check the SPO2 levels in the Fitbit App.

Besides, Charge 4 can control Spotify music on your phone. You can choose and control which music to play while exercising.

Charge 4 can monitor your heart rate 24/7.

And, even contains around 20 sports activities you can track.

Above all, Fitbit Charge 4 is not only waterproof but it can also track your swimming! From swim length to the duration and even pace, Charge 4 can detect it all.

Fitbit Charge 4 is packed with many features. You will get to know the alternatives of Fitbit Charge 4 below.

At around 130$, Garmin Vivosmart 4 contains most features that a Fitbit Charge 4 provides. As a result, I think Vivosmart 4 can be one of the best alternatives to Fitbit Bands.

Basically, Vivosmart 4 is lightweight and slim as compared to Charge 4. In addition, Vivosmart 4 is also better-looking but it all comes down to your taste.

Garmin Vivosmart 4 has a 1 inch OLED screen that is visible even under sunlight.

I can make a promising point that at such a low price, Garmin Vivosmart 4 has a pulse oximeter sensor. This feature detects your oxygen saturation levels that can offer insights into your health, including sleep. Vivosmart 4 also detects the stages in your sleep including deep sleep, light sleep, and REM.

With a stress tracker, Vivosmart 4 detects at which time of the day you’re most stressed. A message will pop on your screen saying, “Take a moment to breathe?” when your stress levels go overboard. There is also a relaxation breathing timer on the band which helps you to calm your mind and body.

Vivosmart 4 focuses on insights into your overall health than individual sports mode. So, there are not many workout modes you can choose from.

Also, Vivosmart 4 doesn’t have a built-in GPS but instead a connected GPS. So, the downside is you need to carry your phone around to track your distance in cycling and outdoor walking. However, connected GPS can be a plus because the battery life doesn’t get drained. In the case of Fitbit Charge 4, the battery life with built-in GPS drains easily (works only for 5 hours).

Moreover, Garmin Vivosmart 4 also has smartwatch features like displaying notifications of text and call similar to Fitbit bands.

Garmin Vivosmart 4 can deliver what the Fitbit band can deliver at 20$ less price point. Although, I will say that there are fewer exercise features in Vivosmart4.

In conclusion, I think Garmin Vivosmart is a worthy alternative to the Fitbit band.

Pros

  • Lightweight and sleek
  • 20$ Less Expensive than Fitbit Charge 4
  • Pulse Oximeter is a big plus point
  • Stress detector through the Heart rate monitoring
  • Accurate sleep detector

Cons

  • No Music Control
  • The narrow display can make it difficult to use
  • Less exercise tracking as compared to Charge 4

Samsung Galaxy Fit is a band of Samsung Company. Galaxy Fit was released around the time of Fitbit charge 4. However, Charge 4 offers more tracking features at a greater price.

Galaxy Fit is a beautiful watch that has a sleek AMOLED display. In addition, the Galaxy Fit band comes in 2 colors; black and silver with matching tracker colors. Moreover, the Galaxy Fit band uses a button to secure the strap (unlike Fitbit which uses a clasp mechanism). That is to say, the Galaxy Fit band might come out easily while you exercise.

Galaxy Fit is waterproof up to 5 ATMs so you can easily swim with it.

Also, the Samsung Galaxy Fit has exercise features. But, I think that there is room for improvement. Galaxy Fit tracks your heart rate, calories, steps walked, sleep, and distance traveled. Distance traveled, pace and steps walked can be a bit inaccurate because of the lack of GPS support. However, there is automatic tracking of activities, including walking, running, and dynamic workout in the Galaxy Fit band.

Also, there is a stress tracker in the Galaxy Fit. See, Galaxy Fit takes care of you.

Don’t worry when you get stressed! Through guided breathing exercises, you can calm your mind and body.

In addition, the battery life of Galaxy Fit can last for 5 days even with an AMOLED display. Unlike the Charge 4 whose battery gets drained in 5 hours by built-in GPS. Therefore, you can wear Galaxy Fit for a whole week without the need for charging.

Galaxy Fit can receive notifications of calls, texts, and emails. I can fairly say that Fit has a good smartwatch feature. You can even make preset responses to deliver through your band. Just like Charge 4, weather, calendar, timer, alarm, and stopwatch is present in Galaxy Fit.

However, the major drawback of Galaxy Fit is that it neither comes with a GPS feature (neither connected nor built-in GPS). And, recording distance during your exercise becomes somewhat impossible. You can only track distance by your phone App connected to GPS. So you need your phone beside you for tracking.

I find Galaxy Fit App (Samsung Health app) also quite difficult to use (Although I’ll admit that the Samsung health app supports 90 different activities!). Furthermore, you cannot control music either. However, Galaxy Fit is supported by both iOS and Android.

In conclusion, for such a price point, I think Galaxy Fit does a really good job of being a fitness band.

Pros

  • Brilliant and sleek AMOLED display
  • Smartwatch features
  • Lower price point than Charge 4
  • Battery life is 5 days
  • Samsung Health app has lots of activities

Cons

  • No GPS
  • No Music support
  • You need your phone to track activities
  • Heart Rate might be inaccurate. And tracking too is inaccurate sometimes.
  • Samsung App is slightly hard to use

Fitbit’s first-generation smartwatch is Fitbit Versa. After that, comes Fitbit Versa 2. The Smartwatch feature means you can stream music along with picking up calls through Versa 2. With an LCD display, Versa comes for 170$.

At around 30$ more price than Versa, Versa 2 offers an AMOLED display, Alexa built-in, and a long battery life of 5+ days. Above all, Versa 2 also includes a microphone for you to record voice messages on the spot. However, Versa 2 isn’t that adept to make calls.

However, for such a huge price point, Versa 2 can control music without the help of a phone. Versa 2 can store up to 300 songs. However, music cannot be played on the band itself. Therefore, you need Bluetooth headphones or a speaker to listen to music.

Fitbit Versa 2 offers you extensive health and fitness features. The features include tracking 15+ sporting activities, sleep, 24/7 heart rate monitoring. Fitbit Versa 2 is swim-proof and can track swimming too!

Above all, the Versa series have an always-on mode. This means that the Versa 2 Band always remains active.

Below, you will get to know the alternatives of the Fitbit Versa 2 band.

I recommend Garmin Vivoactive 4 as another Fitbit Bands’ alternatives.

Foremost, Vivoactive 4 has a 45 mm circular display unlike the square-ish display of the Fitbit Versa 2. Although the display might not be as flashy as the Garmin Venu (another Garmin watch), you get many core features with Vivoactive 4.

At this price point, I think it’s fair to say that a built-in GPS is rightfully deserved. Therefore, Vivoactive 4 has built-in GPS while the Versa 2 has connected GPS.

Vivoactive 4 has a battery life of 8 days. But, with the use of built-in GPS + music, the battery barely lasts seven hours.

You’ll get a heart rate sensor and pulse oximeter to assess your health. In addition, you also get a stress tracker!

The Pulse oximeter working 24/7 is probably the most interesting feature. The previous Garmin watches didn’t have such 24/7 tracking.

You can also track your respiration, hydration, and estimated sweat loss post-workout metrics through Vivoactive 4.

The Garmin Vivoactive 4, like Fitbit Versa, tracks your sleep (REM sleep, light sleep, deep sleep), steps taken, distance traveled, calories, and floors climbed with accuracy. In addition, Vivoactive 4 also has a Female health Tracking feature and guided breathing sessions.

And yes, you can control music on Spotify with Vivoactive 4 as well.

Garmin Vivoactive 4 has smartwatch features like receiving notifications. However, this band doesn’t have a built-in microphone. So you can’t record voice messages.

Despite not recording voice messages, Garmin Vivoactive 4 makes for a very good fitness band.

Pros

  • Built-in GPS
  • Respiration and hydration tracking. As well as other activities like heart rate, fitness and female health with spot-on accuracy
  • Contains a Pulse oximeter sensor and stress tracker
  • The battery life of 8 days
  • Music Storage

Cons

  • More expensive than Fitbit Versa 2
  • The display isn’t as vibrant as Fitbit Versa 2
  • The Garmin App can be hard to use

Ticwatch E is Android wear. Although it is compatible even with iOS. This smartwatch comes packed with brilliant features for a price of 150$. Not only is it packed with features but Ticwatch E has a sleek matte design with a circular face, making it look like you’re wearing a regular watch.

You will get an OLED screen on Ticwatch E. Furthermore, the screen is also scratch-proof so if you’re clumsy, this might be a piece of good news.

Ticwatch E can track your sleep, steps walked, calories burned, heart rate monitoring, you name it! The heart rate sensor is also very accurate.

Above all, Ticwatch E comes with a built-in GPS! Therefore, the tracking is fairly accurate.

Similar to Fitbit, Ticwatch E App includes TicBreathe; sort of like guided breathing exercises. This breathing exercise will relax your mind and body.

In addition, there is a wide variety of fitness apps you can choose from like Google Fit and Runtastic.

Above all, Ticwatch E is a smartwatch as it can fairly display notifications of email, text, and calls. Receiving calls, making calls, and replying to messages can be done through Ticwatch E if you have an Android phone.

With the help of Bluetooth headphones, you can control music on the Google Play Store through Ticwatch E.

Ticwatch E has a compass, accelerometer, and gyroscope.

Most importantly, Ticwatch E is IP67 resistant. That is why Ticwatch E can tolerate water spills or rain spills. However, swimming and showering will destroy your Ticwatch E.

Perhaps the worst feature in Ticwatch E is its battery life of 24 hours. So, you can’t track your sleep if you charge your band at night. However, the battery gets charge to 100% within an hour.

To sum up, with IP67 resistance and built-in GPS, I think Ticwatch E is a fair competition for the Fitbit Band.

Pros

  • Built-in GPS causes accurate tracking
  • Accurate heart rate monitoring
  • Great Value for such features
  • Can Play Music

Cons

  • Battery life is short and needs constant charging
  • The display might seem ugly to some people

Apple Watch Series 3

table id=apple-watch-series-3 /]

With a vibrant display, the Apple series 3 comes as another alternative for Fitbit. In addition, the price points are similar too.

Although, Apple works only for iOS and not with Android.

I am recommending the Apple series 3 despite series 6 coming out soon. This is because the price point and features of these 2 band series (series 3 and Versa series) somewhat match.

Apple Series 3 has an AMOLED display like Versa 2. However, the screen is large and brighter for Series 3.

Series 3 can take notifications of your calls and text even without a phone nearby (if you buy the cellular version)! Unlike the Versa series, which needs a phone nearby. However, if you buy a GPS version, you need to open the GPS and have a phone nearby to receive and make calls!

With a built-in microphone, you can dictate texts to send through Series 3. Like the Versa series, Series 3 is also equipped with an altimeter, accelerometer, NFC, haptic vibration engine, Wi-Fi, and an Optical Heart rate monitor.

Fitbit App can give you an overview of your whole health. Whereas Apple series 3 aims to get you moving with the day (Although Series 3 also has App that focuses on health). Series 3 has automatic tracking too.

Apple Series 3 is waterproof up to 50 ATMs. Similarly, you can use Series 3 to track swimming.

While Fitbit Versa 2 is controlled by Alexa, Series 3 is controlled by Siri.

Perhaps the worst part of Series 3 is the battery life. With a battery life of 18 hours, you need to constantly charge your Series 3 every 24 hours. And even the lack of sleep tracking makes Series 3 a bit hard to bear.

In conclusion, Apple Series 3 has its downsides but it is a worthy opponent of the Fitbit Band.

Pros

  • Beautiful clear display
  • Customization features
  • Price can match with Versa 2 if you buy the GPS version
  • Seamless music storage
  • Cool “rings” at the end of the day to align you with your health goals

Cons

  • Only works with iOS
  • If you buy the cellular version, it is expensive.
  • 18-hour battery life
  • No inherent sleep tracking

Moov Now is not your usual Fitness tracker! This unusual fitness band comes with a small disc in a variety of colors. And the disc is inserted into a latticed black rubber strap making it look beautiful and trendy.

Perhaps the bad thing about Moov now is that Moov Now has no display. Therefore, Moov Now needs a phone nearby to sync. Furthermore, Moov Now has no smartwatch feature and neither built-in GPS. Neither does Moov Now show a clock, stopwatch, or alarms.

But, hear me out! For a fitness tracker, Moov Now does an excellent job.

Despite lacking display, Moov Now has Omni motion sensors which are 3 times more sensitive than any basic fitness tracker! The sensor detects your walking, running, cycling, body workouts, cardio-boxing, and other activities. In addition, the sensor even monitors your sleep stats and calories burned.

Besides, there is a small button on the top of the disc which you can click after starting the exercise.

Furthermore, Moov Now can even detect your swimming. In swimming, strides, leaps, turns, rest periods, and strokes can be detected.

The App associated with Moov Now gives you real-time coaching and feedback. Furthermore, the app motivates you to improve your exercising way to ensure you’re doing it the right way!

The best thing is You don’t need to charge Moov Now at all. I can tell you that Moov Now has a long battery life that lasts up to 6 months. Sometimes, the battery may finish quickly when you use lots of activities, let’s say in 3 months. If the battery finishes, just replace the battery which costs around 7$ on Amazon.

Moov Now contains no smartwatch features and neither any display. However, with long battery life and real-time coaching, I think Moov Now does a fair job competing with the Fitbit bands.

Pros

  • Long Battery life up to 6 months. Minimum of 3 months!
  • Does a good job at being a fitness tracker
  • Swim-proof
  • The App on the phone motivates you by giving feedback and real-time coaching

Cons

  • No display
  • Needs Syncing with your phone

TruSleep SLEEP MONITORING

With an AMOLED display, Huawei Honor Band 5 is an excellent tracker of sleep, steps walked, and heart rate. You will get the strap of Honor 5 in 3 colors: Meteorite Black, Coral Pink, and Midnight Navy. The strap is made of silicone.

The home screen is a clock face. And displays features like calendar, weather, and battery percentage.

Your Honor Band 5 can monitor your sleep through Huawei TruSleep Monitoring Technology. There is automatic tracking in Honor Band 5.

In addition, smartwatch features like texts, calls, and App notifications will be displayed on your Band 5 screen with vibration.

Perhaps the most interesting feature is that Huawei Honor Band 5 can monitor your oxygen saturation levels! Another interesting feature is that the battery life boasts of 14 days!

Furthermore, Honor Band 5 is swim-proof. And even detects backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle. While swimming, Honor Band 5 also calculates calories, distance, and speed!

And recently, there was an addition of music control too.

The most awesome thing is that ALL these features come at around 30$! I mean, what is there not to like about this band?

If you don’t want to leave a dent on your wallet as a beginner in the fitness band world, Huawei Honor Band 5 is a good choice for you.

You cannot expect GPS at such a low price point, can you? There is a connected GPS in Huawei Honor Band 5 though.

However, with such packed features all at 30$, I think Huawei Honor Band 5 takes a fair competition against the Fitbit band.

Things To Consider Before Buying Best Alternatives To Fitbit Bands

Fitbit Bands aren’t a reputed band for no reason. The Fitbit bands contain many features that make them so beloved. Therefore, to compete with Fitbit, you have to consider the following feature in the alternatives to Fitbit bands.

Water Resistance

Fitbit Bands are water-resistant. However, not all bands are water-proof. Therefore, it’s always better to choose a water-resistant band.

Sometimes, you might shower with your band mistakenly. This may destroy your watch. So, please be careful while considering which brand to buy. And it’s always better to buy a waterproof band!

Battery Life

Who wants to charge a band daily? I’m sure it’s not you. It is extra work to charge a band every day. Moreover, you can’t even use the band to monitor sleep stats (if you charge at night to make it work the next day). Therefore, you should look for a band with long battery life.

On the other hand, with excess features, battery life gets drained pretty easily. You can switch off the GPS or any battery-draining feature when you don’t need the features.

Sports Function

One of the main features of a fitness band is sports. We all like to remain healthy and fit by playing sports. Therefore, to remain fit you have to consider what sports mode is present in your desired band. Some bands even offer different sports tracking through the App. You might want to consider that.

Heart Rate Monitoring

Heart Rate is one of the basic health features that every fitness band must have!

Some bands can monitor 24/7 with good accuracy. However, some bands have a heart monitor which can be a bit fiddly. Therefore, you should consider heart rate monitoring in your band. Above all, your health is directly monitored by this feature.

Display Notifications

Fitness bands with additional features like smartwatch features are a big plus!

GPS

With built-in GPS tracking, you can be ensured that the tracking of your exercises, activities will be spot-on. Some brands even come with a connected GPS and require you to sync with your phones’ GPS. I think a built-in GPS will help you if you love cycling, running, and generally love doing outdoor exercises.

Conclusion

Fitbit is no doubt a reputed brand in the fitness world. However, there are plenty of other bands in the market. I hope you can choose the bands according to what your body needs.

I hope the above article helped you to get information about the alternatives to Fitbit bands. Please carefully read the above article so that you can choose the best fitness tracker. To sum up, your health is your priority! Happy exercising!
